Biography
Roosevelt Palafox is an American actor and award-winning filmmaker. He has been working internationally in movies, short films, and TV series.
Known for the supporting role in the film “The Darkest Days of Us,” following by a lead role in the music video “Take It Out On Me,” by English rock band “White Lies,” and a supporting role in the French American film, “Anatomy of an Antihero: Redemption,” Palafox worked on film proof of concepts along with recognizable cast names and is professionally accepting new invitations. His acting training includes his life experiences, and seminars with internationally working actors.
Roosevelt Palafox was born in Los Angeles California in 1987, and lived in San Diego California for long time. Coming from an educated Hispanic family, he also lived in Mexico as a young kid, where he explored the rural Mexican lifestyle of the suburbs of mountains and a small town, Tecate Baja California.
He decided to get into acting after having followed a career in music and photojournalism. The passion to interpret characters is what keeps him in acting; after watching action and adventure films, as well as Disney films and tons of other films is what inspired him and currently keeps him persistent.
Living the good life in San Diego California, Palafox went to Southwestern College in Chula Vista, majored in film, and proudly holds an advanced “Certificate of Proficiency,” in film production.
While in College, Palafox also served the college newspaper, The Sun, proudly as multimedia editor and photographer. He joined the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ). He won an award for Web/Broadcast from the 2011 SoCal contests of the Journalism Association of Community Colleges (JACC). Following the path of filming documentaries and news packages, Palafox won Best Environmental Film Award 2014, Yosemite International Film Festival. Best in its competition category from among hundreds of short documentary films submitted worldwide.
